On Sunday 7th September, Nineteen48’s co-founder, Stuart, put on his running shoes and joined Steve O’Driscoll from Kandy Kids for a half-marathon in their hometown of Bournemouth.
The “dynamic” duo followed a course that took them along the length of Bournemouth and Poole’s sandy beaches and back again, in conditions that were near perfect for the 2-hour jog.
We don’t think they will be troubling Mo Farah anytime soon, but the run raised almost £1000 for Kandy Kids, with donations still coming in after the event.
“It’s been a fantastic day for the charity”, said Stuart. “We are extremely grateful to all of our sponsors. Their generous donations will make a huge difference to the charity and enable us to help even more children in Sri Lanka. A massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who contributed.”
