Nineteen48 offers ethical gemstones, responsibly mined and fully traceable coloured gemstones from a number of carefully selected sources around the world. There are a very few organisations globally that provide ethical gemstones due to the complex nature of the industry.

When you buy your gems from us, you have the peace of mind that your jewellery will be made with a stone that is guaranteed "conflict free" and conforms to the principles of full disclosure and fair trade. Currently there are no established trade bodies that trace the gemstone supply chain from mine to market, no accreditation system for ethical gemstones therefore it is down to you to choose and trust the gemstone supplier. Ensure they are transparent, have an in-depth ethical policy and have a mine to market policy in place.
