Moyo Gems
Moyo gems are responsibly sourced gemstones from the female miners of the Umba Valley and Tanga regions in Tanzania. They are truly beautiful gemstones from the members of the Tanzanian Women Miners' Association (TAWOMA), all tracked and traced back to the individual miners.
The Moyo Gems project is an ethical gemstone collaboration born in Tanzania. We are working directly with the artisanal gem miners to assure a range of stones (including garnet, sapphire, spinel, aquamarine, tourmaline, amethyst and citrine) all the way from mine to market.
